The Ukrainian men’s volleyball national team has completed its preparation phase for the 2025 World Championship.

Led by Argentine coach Raúl Lozano, the team held a training camp in Qatar, where they played three friendly matches against the host nation’s team – all three ended in victories for Ukraine.
Game 1: 3–1 (27:25, 26:24, 20:25, 25:18) – Top scorer: Dmytro Yanchuk with 19 points. Ukraine had the edge in aces (9:8) and blocks (11:9).
Game 2: 4–0 (29:27, 25:17, 25:21, 25:19) – Yanchuk, Tupchii and Uryvkin each scored 12 points. Ukraine dominated in serves (13:2) and blocks (13:5).
Game 3: 3–1 (25:21, 28:26, 25:15, 25:27) – Top scorer: Illia Kovalov with 14 points.
After the friendlies, the team traveled to the Philippines, where the World Championship will take place from September 12 to 28. This will be Ukraine’s second consecutive appearance at the tournament.
The “Blue-Yellows” will open their campaign on September 14 at 09:00 (Kyiv time) against Belgium, followed by matches against Algeria (September 16, 09:00) and reigning world champions Italy (September 18, 16:30).
Head coach Raúl Lozano has finalized the squad, and the team is now focused on advancing from the group stage and delivering a strong performance on the world stage.
