Poland wins bronze at the 2025 Volleyball World Championship
Poland’s men’s national volleyball team claimed the bronze medal at the World Championship in the Philippines, defeating the Czech Republic 3–1 in the third-place match.

Polish outside hitter Wilfredo León was the top scorer of the game with 24 points. He converted 21 of 32 attacks (65%) and added three blocks.
This is Poland’s fourth consecutive World Championship medal:

🥈 2022 – Runners-up to Italy
🥉 2025 – Bronze after beating Czechia
During this tournament, Poland defeated Canada (3–1) and Turkey (3–0) in the knockout stage before losing to Italy 0–3 in the semifinals.
For Czechia, finishing 4th represents their best-ever result at a World Championship. Previously, the team had never placed higher than 10th. They advanced from the group by beating Serbia (3–0) and China (3–0), then defeated Tunisia (3–0) and Iran (3–1) in the knockout rounds. In the semifinals, they lost to Bulgaria (1–3).
