Only one month remains until the main event of the national teams season – the 2025 Volleyball World Championship!
From September 12 to 28, 2025, the Men’s Volleyball World Championship will take place in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Matches will be held at Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena, where over 17 days, spectators will see 64 matches featuring the 32 strongest teams in the world.
The tournament format includes eight groups of four teams each, with the top two from each group advancing to the Round of 16.
The reigning world champion is Italy, who defeated Poland in the 2022 final.
The Ukrainian men’s national team will participate in the World Championship for the second consecutive time. They will start their campaign on September 14 at 09:00 Kyiv time against Belgium. Next, Ukraine will face Algeria (September 16, 09:00) and the current world champions Italy (September 18, 16:30).

Tickets for matches featuring the Ukrainian team can be purchased on the official tournament website, starting from 364 UAH.
The tournament winner will receive $1,000,000, the silver medalist $500,000, and the bronze medalist $250,000. At the 2022 World Championship, the prize amounts were $200,000, $125,000, and $75,000 respectively.
Individual awards have also increased. The MVP will receive a check for $100,000, while a player selected to the symbolic All-Star team will receive $50,000.
Note that from 2025 onwards, the World Championship will be held every two years.
