Italy Reaches Nations League Final for the First Time

The Italian men’s national volleyball team has reached the Volleyball Nations League final for the first time in history, defeating Slovenia in the semifinal.

The match, held on Saturday, August 2, was a triumph for outside hitter Alessandro Michieletto, who delivered an outstanding performance: 26 points63% attack success rate, plus 3 aces and 4 blocks. His contribution was key to the victory over the Slovenians.
Slovenia’s top scorer was Rok Možič with 14 points.

Italy dominated in attack (62 winning spikes versus 52) and was stronger on serve (9 aces versus 2).
