Italy defeats Cuba to reach the 2025 Volleyball Nations League semifinals
In Ningbo, China, the first quarterfinal of the 2025 Men’s Volleyball Nations League has concluded.

In the clash between Italy and Cuba, the Italians claimed a 3–1 victory.
The match’s top scorer was Cuba’s leader Marlon Yant, who recorded 21 points with a 56% attack efficiency. Yordan Bisset also had an impressive performance with 70% efficiency in attack (7/10).
For Italy, Alessandro Michieletto stood out with 17 points and a 44% attack success rate. Kamil Rychlicki (16 points) and Davide Lavia (9 points) also contributed effectively.
One of the key factors was the error count: Cuba committed 37 errors in the match, including 20 on serve, while Italy made only 19 errors.
