Italy to host the next three men’s Champions League finals

Italy will become the main stage for European club volleyball over the next three years.
The president of the Italian Volleyball Federation, Giuseppe Manfredi, announced the signing of an agreement with the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV),under which Italy will host the Champions League Final Four in 2026, 2027 and 2028.
This will give Italy a unique opportunity to bring together Europe’s strongest clubs for three consecutive seasons, reaffirming its status as one of the world’s leading volleyball nations. The tournaments are expected to take place in major cities capable of ensuring a high level of organization and strong spectator interest.
This is far from the country’s first experience hosting Europe’s premier club final. Italy has previously hosted the decisive Champions League matches six times:
2003 – Milan (the Russian club Belogorie were the winners),
2006 – Rome (Treviso),
2011 – Bolzano (Trentino),
2017 – Rome (Zenit-Kazan),
2021 – Verona (ZAKSA),
2023 – Turin (ZAKSA).
Thanks to the new agreement, Italy will once again be at the center of European volleyball, and fans will have the chance to see the continent’s biggest clubs compete in the country’s largest arenas. The CEV is expected to announce the host cities and further details about the organization of the tournaments in the near future.
It is worth recalling that the reigning Champions League winners are the Italian club Perugia, featuring Ukrainian volleyball player Oleh Plotnytskyi.
